These days an average web developer needs to have a broad matrix of skills in order to do his/her job. HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, XML, some server side language, some linux skills, some apache, some database skills, standards, accessibility, SEO, the list goes on. Parts of the list are also multiplied by (or raised to the power of?) the number of browsers you want to support. Crazy, isn’t it? We’re such optimists trying to make stuff work in such an environment.
There’s gotta be an easier way to write code that does something meaningful! Yes, there is, it’s called JavaScript. You learn JavaScript, you learn it well, and you don’t need to learn anything else. Isn’t that cool? JavaScript is, practically, everywhere. Learn JavaScript and you can:

The solution is the comment out (or delete) the following two lines from wp-config.php
define(’DB_CHARSET’, ‘utf8′);
define(’DB_COLLATE’, ”);
It worked for me! Japanese chars now display perfectly.

Here’s how…
STEP 1: Create your email using the same content and formatting you intend to send in bulk. (Technically, you don’t have to be planning a mass mailing. SpamCheck doesn’t care if you’re mailing in bulk or one-at-a-time.)
• Use the subject your direct mail will use, but add the word “TEST” to the start of your subject line (without the quotes, in UPPER CASE, no space after it) so that the program knows this is a test e-mail. (If the subject does NOT start with TEST, SpamCheck will think it’s REAL spam and ignore it). Here’s a sample subject…

I was having some “this application has failed to start because its side-by-side” error while installing the MySQL on my new Vista machine, below is the fix that works for me.
To install MySQL Server 5.0.51a in Vista
1. Disable the UAC in Windows Control Panel->User Accounts
2. Use mysql-essential-5.0.51a-win32.msi
3. In the final step uncheck “Configure MySQL Server now”
4. Download and run Resource Hacker http://www.angusj.com/resourcehacker/
5. Open …\MySQL Server 5.0\bin\MySQLInstanceConfig.exe with Resource Hacker
6. Navigate to 24\1\1033
7. Change
<requestedExecutionLevel level=”asAdministrator” uiAccess=”false”>
to
<requestedExecutionLevel level=”requireAdministrator” uiAccess=”false”>
8. Press “Compile script”
9. Exit Resource Hacker and save the result (overwrite the initial MySQLInstanceConfig.exe)
10. Now MySQLInstanceConfig.exe should start normally.
11. Configure the server.
12. Sometimes the server doesn’t start:
a) Check Windows Firewall settings (3306/TCP)
b) Try changing the compability mode for the file …\MySQL Server 5.0\bin\mysqld-nt.exe to Windows XP-SP2.
13. That’s all.

Creating your Sitemap
Some hosting providers(for example 1and1) provide utilities via their web control panel, to create your sitemap, so you should always check with your provider first. If this service is not available, then make a visit to http://www.sitemapspal.com/ and enter your site URL into the generator box. Copy-and-paste the resulting sitemap into notepad, then save-and-upload to your site with the file name: sitemap.xml
If you want to validate the XML prior to uploading to the search engines (useful if you have made any manual amendments), pay a visit to the SmartIT XML Sitemap validator where you can put in the URL of your sitemap and check it against the standard.

If you’re worried that using duplicate content is going to somehow get your site penalized, deindexed, or otherwise make your site fall out of favor with Google, stop worrying:
Quote:
Duplicate content doesn’t cause your site to be penalized. If duplicate pages are detected, one version will be returned in the search results to ensure variety for searchers.

The above statement is from Google’s official blog. Google says quite plainly that duplicate content won’t hurt your site.
